The “Blue Snowball” (NGC7662) in Andromeda

Description:

A planetary nebula in the constellation Andromeda, some 2,200 light years away. I took this image with very little magnification to  illustrate how the object appears in a small telescope. The name "planetary nebula" derived from the resemblance of many of these objects in small telescopes to planets. In fact, they have nothing to do with planets.
